WELCOME TO
transformation companion
for future-able
organisations
Fiete Brunk
"If the rate of change on the outside exceeds the rate of change on the inside, the end is near." – Jack Welch

But what is future-able?
future: late Middle English via Old French from Latin futurus, future = ultimately meaning ‘grow, become’ able: late Middle English (also in the sense ‘easy to use, suitable’) from Old French hable, from Latin habilis ‘handy’, from habere ‘to hold’. A future-able organisation is one that is able to hold (as in receive and withstand) whatever comes its way. The organisation also has solutions at hand that make it easier to both recognise and adapt to an ever changing reality. The organisation does not do this only reactively – as a consequence of regulation, with a compliance mindset or even as a consequence of quitting employees, discontent in society, or other difficulties in the business model. A future-able organisation learns how to change itself proactively to stay relevant, effective and impactful continuously. To become future-able as an organisation, a transformation is needed on three levels: as system, in the relations, and as humans. One might start with one level, but going all the way requires to approach all three. And the most effective way is not by doing it after one other, but when it's happening simultaneously. How? Love to help!
Continuously developing as an organisation has been a necessity already before. As the circumstances change faster than ever, it is even more important to know where one stands, where one wants to go, and how to get there.

My Why
Let’s be sincere:
There is an incredibly amount of frustration in the working world—often due to poor leadership.
45% of employees in Germany are just doing the bare minimum.
Nearly 50% of all meetings are unnecessary (and the rest are often inefficient or frustrating).
77% of all change initiatives fail.
A lot of potential is currently not well configured in the (working) world. Energy dissipates or stagnating.
That's a shame, because there so much to do!
Digitalisation, economy, geopolitical situation, democracy, generational change, employee retention, supply chains, …
And that is only a fraction of possible topics that need our attention.
There are many people who want to do create positive change in their organisation.
Yet, too often, they're set up to fail due to
▻ rigid, ineffective processes,
▻ stiff or missing structures,
▻ ingrained habits and beliefs,
▻ fear of diving into the needed topics,
▻ lack of clarity and weak strategies.
If you recognise parts of the above, then your organisation's operating system is not updated frequently enough!
This can be a problem for both new and established organisations. To harness potential and energy effectively, frameworks are needed that keep pace with the times:
While the world keeps spinning rapidly, organisations rarely run sensible updates.
Now the question is, how to face it? Do we struggle through with friction and frustration? Or do we become future-able, with joy, impact, and growth?
I'm up for it!
"Dream no small dreams for they have no power to move the hearts of people."
– J. W. von Goethe
My focus
When the operating system of your organisation is still like Windows 95, then it's no wonder that you are facing challenges today! My aim is that you get the newest update, and that you are able to develop and install it by yourselves going forward. Future-able.
How you might notice that an update is urgently needed:
-
Major changes due to generational changes. Around the corner, in the middle of it, or already happened.
-
A certain sluggishness and lack of motivation, without knowing where exactly it stems from.
-
Bureaucracy and structures that just grew and piled up during past years—and kill impact and joy at its core.
-
Stagnation due to smouldering conflict, ponderous learning, or vague responsibilities.
potential of the organisation: your operating system. With a systemic-integral approach to transformation, I focus primarily on the
It's about shaping the right conditions—so that people are always enabled to perform their work.
No matter how things change.
And so we are back to future viability.
Because potential diminishes if it is not alive and is not continuously renewed. Time for an update!

THREE LEVELS OF THE OPERATING SYTEM
I help discover new paths to
question status quo and to
design transformation sustainably!
Book a meeting, if you're curious about what
new paths you can take.
How I work
With me, you will gain new thinking and practices around the topics of work, leadership, organisation and doing business.
My path to becoming a transformation companion was not linear or traditional - even today I maintain an interdisciplinary and therefore bridge-building approach. I combine many years of experience in leadership development with perspectives from political economy, as well as enthusiasm for the usual issues of organisational and team development. The topics of sustainability and regeneration also play a role for me.
Together, we will look at what prerequisites already exist on the three levels – people, relations, system – and what a transformation to a future-able organisation could look like, with continuous, small steps.
And then we get started! Whether it's just the first step or a longer journey. Always with the aim that I'll be with you for as short as possible. Because the goal is a future-able organisation, not an organisation dependent on consultants. That's why, with me, you get someone who likes to get things done, instead of mainly producing concepts and consultant-presentations.

Coming along are...
to take action, even if we do not yet know everything
dare to open up, and face reality
If you don't feel good about these approaches, I may not be the right person for you.
